I head across a bridge
to a place
neither here
nor there —
somewhere
in between
from out the fog
a woman’s hand
takes mine
and guides me
to someplace
where yesterday
and tomorrow
are dressed the same
I go from where I am
to where you are
never leaving home
where what is
and what is not
are together —
wearing
the same name
.

This is truly mystical, as is the photo. Sometimes a photo not only enhances a poem but the poem when reread with out the photo in sight loses something. Your poem does not lose a bit of its beauty.
You and your wife are both artists you say. Is she online? Does she blog? Do you use another medium other than the written word?

Hi Raven, thanks for your kind words. My wife has had many major exhibitions of her work, but isn’t interested in selling or having a website. She doesn’t blog either. I had to read and re read a few times, because it sums up my parents relationship, of 57 years. I loved the image it led me into the poem – beautiful.

Where yesterday and tomorrow are dressed the same. Outside of the obvious that fashions recirculate, this is poignant. Things do change, but the things that matter most yesterday will matter most tomorrow. Great stuff. BTG
