I visit
my memories
as magical gardens;
I nurture the blooms,
eliminate weeds
I select
from the blossoms
and garner the seedlings
to plant in fresh soil
come welcoming spring
when planting
I ponder the seed pods
of last autumn’s harvest
and press each promise
snug into its bed
each morning
I weed out and water
each clearly marked row.
Love and the sunshine
will bring life to bud
.

I just love this poem and how you say nurture your blooms and eliminating the weeds. It makes sense to compare our memories to gardens…so often we retain only the weeds and wonder why we are unhappy. I have not been around in a while and I am visiting for a bit tonight. Happy New Year, Dennis, Oliana
