see through my eyes,
fathom my fears,
walk in my footsteps,
taste of my tears.
in brotherhood
I beseech you,
please, take my hand —
I’ll guide you through
back streets of strife.
bloody fields of war
can be a rebirth —
we deserve much more.
open your heart
to the poor at your feet.
allow in the blessings —
may make you complete.
we all are the same,
happiness we seek —
end this suffering,
empower the weak.
we ask not a gift,
but to share what we have,
as brothers and sisters —
to our souls a salve.

Your words are exceptional. And they are so true. I am very appreciative of your kind words on my blog. I have a feeling that at “long last” those things that have kept much of the artist within me stifled, are going to dissipate and disappear and that perhaps in our new loft space that artist will manifest. I am so glad to have connected. Thank you. I have a great appreciation for not just your writing but the work that you do amongst people.

Thank you Raven, some times a change of space, especially a large space, can make all the difference. I am sure that artist will manifest. I’ll visit you often. ~ Dennis

You live by all these lines, you mean all that you say “open your heart
to the poor at your feet.” and “we all are the same,
happiness we seek –”. We all truly desire the same kind of happiness on this earth. Thanks for such beautiful words. I was away and could not follow your beautiful words for awhile, but I am now back to enjoy them. Thank you.

Love this prose: “to the poor at your feet.” Do you have a LinkedIn, Dennis? I’d love to connect on there as well! Thanks for checking out my writing portfolio, btw. I really like that writers follow me instead of spammers haha. Anyway…I am looking forward to reading more of your writing.

Hi Allison, I am very impressed with your portfolio. I also enjoyed your article The Evolution of Barbie, especially the lines:
“I want to tell everyone that they can accomplish something that has nothing to do with their physical appearance. Looks fade but a good heart and mind does not.”
This is a very positive statement for young girls. ~ Dennis
