dragons at my doorstep
faeries by the fire
ease my mind of earthly care
to follow my desire
unicorns leave hoof prints
pressed into the snow
wherever they may lead me,
that’s where I will go
pages turn by magic
love within the prose
breezes whisper secrets
essence of the rose
fill my cup to the brim
with liquid love divine
promise me eternity
your heart paired with mine

What a lovely poem…it inspired me to add a few lines to Dennis’ poem, knowing he is a caring and giving person:
come on down for a taste
a nibble of wizzard’s paste
it’s seasoned with sympathy
so you can care with empathy
and drink the broth of kindness
delve into benevolence.
and fruits of compassion.,

Thanks, Cher, I find that an escape into fantasy is often necessary — just to keep my sanity. I love your blog, I love Chicago and I am a Canadian. I commend you:
“Without uttering a word, I love to help others by sending them my love, appreciation, and gratitude. I do this through silent prayer, positive energy, and focused healing thoughts.”
Cheers,
